WIAW – Wisdom Teeth Eats

12

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well (: Today’s post has some different kinds of foods as for I got my wisdom teeth out on Friday, so my food choices this weekend have been a bit limited. Unfortunately, my pain killers upset my stomach so that made eating even harder for me.

Screen shot 2015-08-04 at 7.22.35 AMI bought some protein powder from the grocery store before my surgery because my protein choices were extremely limited. This was my first time trying the Simple Truth Whey, and I love it! Mixed with a cup of soy milk, it creates a really thick milk-shake like texture.Screen shot 2015-08-04 at 7.22.22 AM

This was eaten Tuesday once my mouth was a little more healed. I have been missing my fresh fruits and veggies! This was my first sweet potato since starting recovery and while I enjoyed it, I definitely appreciated the butter and cheese on top! PS: aren’t those the prettiest berries ever?!?

I hadn’t tried this brand before, but I wanted to pick up some more calorie-dense yogurts for post surgery. Adding in some strawberry mush gave the vanilla a great flavor and a little bit more of a unique texture.

For some reaScreen shot 2015-08-04 at 7.24.00 AMson, I was having the biggest mac n cheese cravings ever! So my sweet dad drove to Noodles & Company and got me their Wisconsin Mac n Cheese. I went a couple of days with no vegetables, so the mushrooms were a great addition!

That’s it! I also have a few pictures over on my Instagram account, but I didn’t want to be super redundant. Hope all is well!

What is your favorite protein powder? Any yogurt brands I need to try?

  1. I love this soft foods edition! I remember feeling exactly the same when I got my braces on for the first time- just opening my mouth would hurt!
For yogurt I would definitely recommend siggis, elli quark, and noosa :)!

  2. Ah, I remember the days of getting the wisdom teeth pulled out. It was actually one the most fun weeks of my life! I was only 12 at the time, and my mom bought me a new video game, and fed me milkshakes for every meal. Haha, I actually remember being sad when she told me I needed to start having actual meals. I missed my multiple milkshakes! I’m impressed you managed strawberries! I hope the rest of your teeth recovery goes smoothly. 🙂

  3. I am yet to go through this experience, i’ve had teeth out in the past but not the big old wisdoms..something to look forward to! Good job with all the eats even given the complications 🙂 I usually buy local yogurt, its so delicious! If i’m in the supermarket though I buy Skyr, Fage or Liberte. Or Yeo Valley. I don’t know if those are available where you are though so you’ll have to have a hunt!

  4. I remember thinking I’d be able to return to normal foods, but being surprised by the long lasting pain! Baked potatoes and soup were my friends! And pudding of course 🙂
